Executive Function Coaching

Executive Functions (EF) are a set of skills that involve self-regulation, working memory, problem solving, attention, task initiation, planning, decision making and more. These tools are used daily in our ability to learn, function at school, be successful at work, and manage day-to-day tasks. Individuals who have difficulty with executive functioning may, for example, struggle with starting or finishing tasks, completing multi-step tasks, staying organized, planning effectively, managing time efficiently, and controlling impulses.

EF Coaching will help you build systems to integrate small, sustainable change that evolve with you and support both your personal and professional growth. You and your coach will collaborate with you to better understand your strengths and challenges. She will help you design and implement a customized approach to achieve your goals.

EF Coach, Judy Rokous, draws on decades of experience to coach her clients to success. By tailoring a program to the individual, she teaches her clients to implement systems and build habits around self-management. With her guidance, they work toward the goals they are striving to achieve, ultimately becoming more productive, effective, and confident in their lives.

What Judy’s clients are saying about EF coaching

Entrepreneur, Mother, age 41: On the recommendation of my therapist, I started working with an executive functioning coach about 9 months ago. I’ve always struggled with organization, time management, and overall executive functioning skills. Since working with Judy, I’ve developed many strategies for managing my busy days, which has ultimately decreased my stress levels significantly. She also assisted me in successfully streamline processes in my small business to be more efficient, which has enabled me to double my sales volume from the prior year. Judy helped me map out a plan for organization in many aspects of my daily life as well as my long term goals. As a mom of two young children, not only have her suggestions helped me to become more organized with my parental responsibilities and related logistics, but I have shared this new knowledge with my children. They have been very receptive to the suggestions for organizing their own lives, thus giving them the tools for executive functioning success now and in the future. My whole family is now in a much better place organizationally than we were a year ago!

Parents of college student: Our son struggled with executive functioning challenges related to ADHD throughout high school, but with Judy’s individualized coaching and unwavering support, he completely transformed his path. Under her guidance—and with his own perseverance—he progressed from community college to a highly competitive university. What makes Judy exceptional is her ability to combine deep expertise in executive management with compassion, practical strategies, and a wealth of teaching experience. She connects with students in a way that builds confidence and empowers lasting change. We are profoundly grateful for her impact on our son’s life and cannot recommend her highly enough to any family seeking support in helping their child thrive.

College student, age 21: Judy’s executive coaching was an integral part of my academic journey and opened doors to further education that, prior to her help, felt impossible. From assisting with college essays to providing strategies for time management and overcoming procrastination, Judy helped me reach my full potential. From a <2.0 GPA in my sophomore year of high school to just having finished my first year at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the strategies she worked with me to implement have helped at every point along the way.
